In 2001 our club bought a horn scoring progam called Virtual Scorebook. It scores all North american big game using the Boone & Crockett score method. At our annual horn scoring night we score as many as 80-90 sets of horns & this software on the laptop speeds it up about to 4-5 times as fast. Problem is this program is designed pre windows XP & doesn't work 100 percent on XP. Does anyone know of any big game scoring software available for windows XP??
Tks Bill

Bill I got a B&C scoring kit for Christmas last year that has a disk in it. Our home pc uses Windows XP and it works fine for me when scoring all those............. HORNS!!! :runaway:

:p Not sure if you can get just the disk or if you have to get the whole kit.

Im sure someone there has an older laptop that they wouldnt mind installing that program on. Otherwise, get on the companys website that made that software and see if they have any newer editions out -or an update- for XP.

Exactly! Two of my hunting and fishing partners are B & C scorers and they would cringe at using anything but the above mentioned items.

I agree, it is helpful for greenHORN  scoring when you aren't great at math and you want to double check.

I always find myself accidentally adding the non-typical points twice when I don't have a proper form in front of me.:( Until I do it enough I need all the help I can get!

Change option in XP

In XP if you right click on that software, in the programs menu, and go to properties, you can select to run the software in win95 mode. That may help you with it.

Wouldn't hurt to give it a try.
