I was looking at the Trade Ex site and saw that they have Hornady 7.62x39 Bullets, V-Max 123 Gr.HRN3142C. $26.00 per 100 Seems like a pretty good price and I was wondering if anyone uses them in thier 303 British ? Jack
I currently don't use that bullet in either my .303 or the 7.62x39mm. However, having had phenomenal success with a 58 gr VMax in my 243, I will be.
Currently I load Sierra's 125 Gr .311" bullets in the .303 and at near 2800 fps, they are DEVASTATING!! on deer. The V-max will no doubt out-perform them. Good luck.

i think i'll try those 125 sierras, my local shop has oodles in stock but i was hesitant to give 'em a go. those 7.62x39 v-max are only .310" and may be too small for alot of enfields.
I have been using Hornady 123 gr .310 diameter bullets in my No. 4 for the last 5 years or so. 47 grs. H335 makes a nice plinking round for the pit. Not bad for cheap ammo.
I have been using the 123 grain Hornady in my 7.62 x 54 M39 and it makes a very accurate round. Hornady manual lists the top velocity at 2500. so for hunting I would keep them under that. For varmints I guess if they disintegrate so much the better.
