Decided to head to X-Reload this morning since it is so close to Prefair Surplus and Sail in Beloeil,QC.
Practically on same street, within 5 blocks.

Put the filler together. Takes getting used to inserting and rotating the primer tray around the primer shield.
Biggest complaint is shield makes storage a pain. A 4 inch high tool chest drawer helps alleviate the problems.
I can likely reduce the tube diameter to also fit the LNL single stage Primer system.
Just wish they also put some thought in part storage.

Picked up a can of Wipe out and Kroil too.

Not a video of mine, but is accurate.

i have one of those, don't like it, quit using it. it fed pretty good with large primers, it didn't do well with small ones, they hung up turned some upside down i tried polishing it bit it didn't help
delegated to the junk drawer .

I have one also, works great. I find that if my primer loader hangs up then those primers also hang up in my Dillon 650 press. No Winchester they hang up all the time. All the rest work perfect. I don't use the tubes that cam with the unit,I just.load directly into the press tubes. Works fine.

CCI small pistol, no problem. Like streets after an ice storm.
Win. Large rifle a confirmed pain in the butt. Go through the gate ok but seems the drop hole is too tight to let some of them drop into the tube.

Took a round file to the large primer tray to increase primer hole diameter slightly, but leaving the tray cover slightly loose seems to have solved the issue.
If so, primer anvil height may be the issue with the Winchester large rifle primers in that particular tray. Anvils protrude from cup.

Found an interesting post on the 1911.com forum.:

"I have both the VibraPrime and Hornady 1911 primer tube fillers. The Hornady is much better out of the box, though the Vibraprime can often have its burrs removed and come close in performance if your "mods" are well done. Mine were not successful and primers too often got stuck at the downchute.

If your Hornady is like mine, the first few times you use it may give the same kind of results. Simply turn the device upside-down to use the primers in the tube to knock out the stuck primer (also works on VibraPrime). After a few uses, the Hornady should work perfectly.

The Hornady tool incorporates a blast shield that acts as a second "ON" switch, ie, it must be in position for the trigger to turn the device on. For some of us (OK, at least me and the guy who did the Youtube video showing the "fix") that safety device was more trouble than it was worth. It is easily bypassed as follows:

- Open the gun by removing the screws holding the 2 sides together.
- Note the two micro switches inside.
- Use a twist tie to hold the blast shield's micro switch closed.
- Reassemble the gun.

Takes less than 5 minutes, requires no more than screwdriver skills, and is easily reversed should you change your mind."

Picked up a box of S&B large rifle primers. Go through much better than the Winchesters. The S&B cup's radius are much flater than the Winchesters which tend to end up tilted about 45° when they jam up the entrance hole. Just need to ensure tube is square for proper feeding.
