Has anyone tried these yet?, I'm wondering how their accuracy compares to the 300gr r.n. interlock in your .375 H+H magnum. My 602 shoots the latter extremely well with my pet load, just wondering if it's worth starting from scratch with this bullet. I've been real impressed with 180 gr Interbonds in my '06 but it takes a bit of bruising to fine tune a load in the Brno. Thanx.

I lloked at the interbond in 180 grn .308. Then I went into sticker shock, almost twice the cost of 180 grn .308 interlock!!

On my last 'visit' to P&d in Edmonton, I picked up some Hornady 375's, 300gr BTSP interlock & 300gr RN IB to 'test' in my custom 375 H&H. Your post just reminded me its time to get my butt in gear. I'll most likely go with loads using IMR 4350, probably using70 - 76grs. Loads from the Hornady 6thedition. From the Ken Waters' Pet Loads, using a Hornady 300gr RN he lists a load of 66grs of IMR 4895 as having excellant accuracy. You mentioned a 'pet load', what is it & what's working for you? Oh, by the way, I have a Brno ZKK 602 too, in .458wm. It's a 'handful' but the recoil isn't as harsh as it is from my model 70 in .458wm. I'm looking for a taller front sight & hood for same on the 602. Know of any or a source?

I'd try western gun parts, my pet load is 75gr IMR 4350 Hornady interlock 300gr rn seated .020 off the lands and Lee factory crimp. Love to hear your results.

Where can you even find the 300 grain Interbonds? I tried everywhere I could think of with no luck. WSS has them listed on their computer, but apparently that is an error. While I was looking I bought out all the Wholesale sports stores, P&D and Russels out of 300 gr roundnose Interlocks. They were fun while they lasted.:(

I've tried the new Interbond and they shoot just as well as the Interlock. Here's the load: CCI 200, 69.5 gr RL-15 in a WW case. Average speed:2520 FPS in a Win Safari Express (375 H&H). Honestly, I prefer the old Interlock; I think that they are way enought for my needs.BTW you can try other powders for the 375 H&H (I've try IMR 4350, H4350, H4895) but in my gun nothing can beat the RL-15 and a standard CCi 200 primer.
Good shooting,

Ghis

ghis7593,
Funny you should mention the standard primers. My .375 H&H shoots a lot better with standard primers than magnums. Seldom does it make much if any difference, but this cartridge seems to be the exception.
Elmer Keiths old load was 75 grs of IMR 4350 with this bullet. Mine is 76 gr. The load I used to shoot up all the interlocks to be had was 78 grs of 47 SL 10 surplus from Higginson. Sorry savagefan.:D Shooting H&H by the pail is a riot!

I'll keep you posted. Can't get to the local range, Copper Canyon, at the moment because of heat conditions. Thanks for the load info you passed on. I'll try it out.

Good info. I'll have to try standard priners in the .375 H&H. I was intending to go with Magnum primers. Most of what I use are CCI. My hero! If Elmer says it's good, I've got to try it. Met the man quite a few years ago, one of my best vacations.

Well, I'm impressed by 2 things,

1 Elmer and me have a choice load.
2You think these are fun to shoot by the pail? Dogleg I would like to have the honour of arm wrestling you one day.

Savagefan,
It doesn't take much to beat me armwrestling. A well fed girl could probably do it.;) Honestly though, my CZ 550 doesn't hurt to shoot, I've had a couple of .270s that hurt more. 11 pounds and a Decellerator soak it up. I'm left with a big push and a Sh**eating grin, plus a pile of brass. The barrel barely heats up with the ball powder load, which is a big limiter with the calibers I usually shoot. 60 rounds is about right from the H&H when I'm shooting other rifles as well, otherwise I just shoot until all my brass is empty again. My big motivator is that I am leaving for South Africa on the 25th and want to be as ready as I can be. I have a lifetime of dreams riding on this, and it is making the recoil feel good.:D

Savagefan,
I'll post pictures of dead critters, no problem there!:D Fact is ya' all will probably be begging me to stop posting them after a while. "Mods make him stop" will be the cry ;) My wife will be along to take pictures.
You may be in luck Savagefan, WSS sports just phoned and according to my wife that took the call has a shelf just straining under the weight of some bullets I had ordered earlier. Since I had 300 grain Interlocks and Interbonds allong with .308 180gr Interlocks ordered, there's a good chance some .375 RN are back in the system again. The 300 encapsulated solid shoots well too, but is a little spendy for practice ammo.
I'm taking 270 gr TSXs on my trip, not that they shoot any better than the 300 RN.The recoil is kinda "girly" with the light bullets, but maybe I can get a tattoo or something to compensate? If anyone asks I'll swear they're 300s though.

Thanx for the heads up Dogleg, will call them ASAP I hunt with 260 Accubond but can never get the sub 1/2" groups I get with the 300 rn Interlocks, in fact I can't get any pointy bullet to group as well as those RNs. Give 'em hell in SA and you don't need the tatt. H&H is the mark of a man but chewing tobacco helps.

Savagefan,
My own CZ .375 doesn't like a lot of the pointed bullets I tried either. The barrel is throated almost perfectly for the 300 roundnose, and most of the spires have a long run to the lands. Most of them would fall out of the case before reaching them. 270 gr Hornady Spire points were pathetic, but not as bad as the 300 Hornady Boat-tail. I doubt that I could have kept 300 grain Partitions on a cowboy hat at 200 yards. Brutal:(
The Speer 285 Grand Slam showed promise, and the 270 grain TSX will usually stay at or under the inch for 5. There are enough one holers mixed in to really make me wonder too. Factory Remington 270 grain soft points shot well when I plinked off a couple boxes for the brass. None of these are what you would call real pointy though, and can get close to the leade. These CZ/ Brno throats are on the generous side, and it's like the roundnose was made for them. They also look real cool! I'll put the Tattoo on hold for a while.:D

Savagefan,
Wholesale Sports got me back in the game, Hornady bulletwise. I was able to try a few of the Interbonds today. The initial impression wasn't great, the Interlocks outshot them badly. I'll play a little, but basically can't go wrong since I do already have a couple good loads. All I really need is a good supply of plinking ammo anyway. That I have again.
