Im a big game hunter, got a tikka m658 in a .270, presently shooting that cheap super X ammo.
Was talking to few people t the range and they told my to shoot hornady.
Now my scope is sighted in with 130gr. so im thinking on shot the hornady interbond 130gr. what do you guys think of that, im not ready tp re-load my shells but im open to suggestions!

Phil!

I agree with Martin about the Lee kit. But if factory ammo is all you wish to shoot at this time, just save your brass for later. Nothing wrong with Winchester x ammo, but there is definately better out there. Win's Ballistic Silver Tips seem to perform quite well in rifles...but you pay more. Federal Fusion is another good choice. I all boils down to your wallet size and how it performs in your rifle . I cannot comment on Hornady factory ammo, but I use their bullets for handloading.

"...presently shooting..." How well does it shoot? If the accuracy is ok, going to more expensive ammo won't make a lick of difference.
If you do try some expensive Hornady ammo, you'll have to sight in again. And there's no guarantee that your rifle will like it either.

Nothing wrong with that cheap super x with 270 130 grain power points. I bought them to make brass for a t-3. Really accurate! Because the shelves are filled with higher priced premium ammo, many think that there is something wrong with win power point and rem. core lock. Not going to say anything against hornady. They alway work for me.

When you show up at the range and no matter what you are using, someone will always suggest something else!

I've found the Hornady Light Mag shoots very well for me in 165gr .30-06. The 2nd benefit is that they use a vastly cleaner burning powder than whatever Federal uses, less time spent cleaning.
