Found a few boxes of Hornady Custom International, InterLock, 308 Win, 180 gr, at the local CTC..
Shot lots of Hornady over the years, A-Max, SST, InterBonds, have not rifled the International 180 gr InterLock's yet.
Anyone out there use these, should be a good performer on Whitetail, Black Bear, Moose..

I personally shoot a lot of Hornady and get a few boxes now and then from our Hornady rep to "try out" (particularly when they bring out something new). I would rate it (any of the hornady loads) above the standard green box/blue box/grey box stuff from Rem, Win and Federal. Certainly on par with their premium and close to or equal to Nosler factory loaded stuff (and I shoot/sell all of it) - but that's just a "personal belief".

It's just the (standard) Hornady interlock, round nose or GMX's packaged for "export" from Hornady (US).

If you look at a box of Custom International 30.06 interlock softpoints and compare it to the American Whitetail 30.06 interlock softpoints (or the Superformance GMX compared to the Superformance International GMX) you will find the same specs.

Don't know if it's simply a marketing ploy or if it helps them with export regs by making a "line for export only" but do know that the "International" stuff runs about 2 bucks a box "more" at the wholesale level when I buy it for the store so I don't buy it unless I can't get the "regular" stuff from Hornady.

There is also a line of "Custom" out there, without the international part. You will find that in some of the popular and "not so popular" factory loads (eg. 300 and 257 Wby comes loaded in their Custom line).

Galamb,
Thanks for reply, saw the Hornady Custom line at Cabela's USA this morning, incredible cartridge selection.
Correct, the Custom International line is not sold in the USA, labeled, ***Not for sale in the United States. Export product only***
Darn Ballistics in Metric, never converted, 38F here today, cheers..

a little over the edge to put nosler ammo and hornady custom interlock ....

Didn't exactly mean that. But I would put the Hornady SST Superformance loads very close to the Nosler Ballitic Tips in the loaded ammo - more apples to apples since Nosler doesn't load a "non-premium" bullet in their factory loads.

And if you are not saving the brass to reload - so typical hunter - many would say there is less value in the Nosler stuff in "like" ammunition. I am a fan of Nosler as well, they load great ammo and may be the best that you can easily get if you don't reload yourself, but Hornady is far above the quality of the cheapest stuff on the shelf and the prices falls a lot closer to blue or green box then a box of factory Nosler.

And if we are honest, at less than 300 yards, the "need" for a super premium round is pretty limited and more often then not, not required at all.

I've purchased a few boxes now of the Hornady Custom International 308 220gr RN ammo. It's been quite accurate for me, only thing different I've noticed is the primers are crimped in.
