I acquired a set of Hornady New Dimension Dies [2-die set] in a trading deal recently.
They just happened to be part of a package deal.

In inspecting them, I noticed that the decapping stem and pin were both bent, and the
seating die was missing the lock nut and "soft" washer.

I e-mailed Hornady, asking for prices to replace these items, since I did not consider it
a warranty situation.

They were prompt in getting back to me, telling me that the items were shipped and
that there were no charges involved. I am always impressed when I get service like that
from the U.S. Dave.

I am not a big user of Hornady tools, and I do not normally shoot factory ammunition in anything
I own, with the exception of rimfires.
95% of my dies are RCBS, Redding & Forster. My main presses are both CO-AX units.
My case trimmer is RCBS [and a few Lee cutters and studs]
My scales and powder dispensers are RCBS....you get the picture.

But it appears that Hornady [like Redding & RCBS] knows about customer service. Dave

I'll say the same thing I say in all these threads. I can't think of any reloading gear manufacturer who doesn't do this sort of thing these days. I seem to recall one of the high-end brands telling someone they were SOL but I can't recall enough to say for sure. Good on them for being in the group though I suppose. My best example would be RCBS spending $14USD to ship me an $0.80c spring.

Over more than 40 years of reloading I have had occasion to request warranty replacement parts from RCBS, Hornady, Lee, Lyman and Redding and can honestly say that not one of them refused to send the replacement parts on their dime. The closest I came to paying was for a Lyman case trimmer where the bronze bushing has become worn. I called Lyman and asked if i could order the bushing. They told me that the bushing had to be press fit in and that I should ship it to them. I asked how much and they said $20 so I mailed it to them and told them to tell me how much I owed them. Two weeks later I got it back with the new bushing installed and an invoice that said "No charge". Too bad all companies aren't this good.

On the other hand don't even get me started on the grief I had trying to get Sony, Minolta, Ford, etc. to honour warranty work on their faulty merchandise.
