Wondering if anyone has tried these and what they thought of the results?

How did the jacket hold up?

Not interested in ballistics just what happens when they hit the critter.

It was in Handloader magazine. I know thats not what you asked for but its all I've got. Apparently the weight retention was great even at high velocity and it still opened at slower speeds. Of course these articles are basically sponsored by the subjects company so arnt exactly impartial.

There was a longish thread here last fall about this bullet. The OP thought it was a little frangible to say the least.

I have an accurate 30-06 load with the 200 grain that prints nicely on paper but I haven't shot any "meat" with it yet.

I did some milk jug testing a few weeks ago. Out of a 7mm-08 at around 2700fps. 200 yards 111gr left and blew through 4 jugs poking a hole in the 5th. 300 yards blew through 4 jugs even though it only hit the corner of the first. Never recovered that bullet.

All of the bad reviews I have read are the people that don't read about the bullet. They shoot it out of a magnum into a moose at 50 yards and are mad when there is meat damage and fragments of bullet. Well it is a very soft bullet made for long range. Use it as intended and it will be perfect. Use it like it is a gmx or other hard bullet and you will be disappointed.

From what I have read it is very versatile even at closer range but within reason based on the velocity. I have read a lot of people complaining about it and how it blows apart and that they will stick with their Nosler Partition. They are comparing a non-bonded cap and core bullet to a Partition, that is the main problem. From what I have read they are essentially an SST with a much better profile and with a thinner front end so they still open up at 500 yards when your velocity drops.

I have them but I have not loaded them yet, if the 212gr .308 one was shorter I would be testing it in a 30-06 but my mag well is too short and I like the idea of the Accubond LR for 30 cal as the .264 will do nicely on deer.

I shot a coyote at 240 meters with factory 6.5 Creedmoor ELD-X. Seemed to work.

I didn't find the bullet so I don't know what the jacket looked like.

For comparison, did you happen to fire any other hunting bullets in the same manner?
