Hornady Get Loaded 2010???

, Cabela's will not ship it to Canada:(

 When did they stop ? That's where I got mine. L&L AP with case feeder on my doorstep for $Cdn 948.00 charged to my visa.

Two months later I got my claim for 1000 45 ACP returned by Hornady with a note pointing out that I had sent them the wrong piece out of the box. I resubmitted my claim and am still waiting for the bullets. Other CGNers have received their bullets and posted that fact on here.

I just got my rebate back form Hornady, apparently, they didn't like my online receipt that Bass pro gave to me.

Gonna have to call them tomorrow.

Better than getting my funds back. :) I have no issues waiting (within reason).
I just want more bullets for a cheap price.

Same I will just wait and hope they dont forget about me. :D

On a business note you know the funny thing is they dont want to deal with me because I dont have a physical store front... I told them this is the 21st century you dont need a store front to be in business... and I said too I could get a store front but what I am going to fill it with nothing because they cant supply what little I need for my online store.

Who ever there sending there orders to up here... I dont know they wont tell me but its not my wholesalers so it must be out west but I have stock sitting on my shelves.... I am not some big chain store with millions of dollars to stock inventory. I would love it they said sent 1000 308's or 1000 224's to so and so and well reimburse you... but no.

Its comeing up to tax time and time to re evaulate my business and goals... this year has not been very good with the economy and a multitude of other problems.

I no longer belive that the "war" in iraq and other battel zones have any play any more on the reloading market... and Obama the peace prize winner... and the NRA will probally give him an award for being the best gun sales man of 2009 well thats over so what's going to be the excuse for 2010?

Now my little rant is done I can go back to work lol :D

OMG, what a headache, lets map out the conversation...paraphrased of course.
Call to Hornady:

Me: Umm, my rebate form was sent back because Bass Pro's receipt isn't proper, but its all they can give me. I contacted bass Pro after receiving the item because it didn't have a receipt in with the shipping documents.

Hornady: It doesn't have their name on the receipt, so it doesn't qualify for the rebate.

Me: It has their name of the customer service person from Bass Pro in the signature....this is the only receipt they can provide me.

Hornady: Well, it doesn't qualify for our program, they need to provide something else.

Me: Let me call them again.

Call with Bass Pro:

Me: Ummm. you guys provided me with a receipt that doesn't work for the Hornady Stay Loaded rebate.

Bass Pro: Sorry sir, this is the only way we can bring up online web based order receipts in our system, we really can't provide anything else.

Me: How I am supposed to get this rebate based on your receipts then?

Bass Pro: Well, we could mail you a letter on our letter, with our name indicating the particulars of your order.

Me: Ok

Call back to Hornday: (worried that letter won't cut it either)

Me: Yeah, I just called about a returned rebate form. The bass pro receipt I submitted is all they can give me....they cannot produce any other receipts.

Hornday: Well, I'm sorry then, you rebate doesn't qualify.

Me: Can I speak to your supervisor?

Transferred:

Me: You guys aren't going to accept my receipt for this item? I mean really? I bought this item online, it was shipped, I like it, I paid for it, Hornady is a reputable company and you aren't going to accept this receipt?

Hornady: We have no proof you bought it from Bass Pro.

Me: Really, I kind of think the documents I provided are substantial enough to show it was bought from bass pro.

Hornady: Without their name in the receipt, we can't verify that it was in fact bought from them.

Me: Well, I don't know what to do then. I am just the consumer here. I don't know why Hornady would license Bass Pro to retail their products if their receipting processes aren't adequate. To me, it seems pretty unfair to make the consumer responsible for something they have no control over. Presumably Bass Pro has a dealer arrangement of some kind with Hornady....you guys should be able to straighten this out. I thought Hornady and Bass Pro were better companies than that.

Hornady: Can you hold while I talk to my manager?

*wait*

Hornday: Ok sir, we can accept this rebate this one time only. Any future rebates from Hornady will not be honoured unless you provide a real receipt for the goods received.

Me: Fair enough, I don't buy presses that often, so this may not be an issue anyways. (it may also not be an issue because I will have to reconsider buying from them again)

/rant off

Actually, this kind of thing really pisses me off, although I try to be soft and polite on the phone. Two companies as big as Bass Pro and Hornady should have this s**t figured out by now. Really disappointed in both of them for making the consumer figure it out.

As a side note, the service staff at Bass Pro were polite, nice and tried to help as much as they could. Hornady, on the other hand, was very hands off, short and a little snotty....like they didn't want to be the ones dealing with this. (even though its their rebate)
