Curious, has anyone tested the Hornady equivalent to the Barnes TTSX bullets, designated the GMX? If you have, how would you say they compare to the Barnes TTSX? For accuracy and on game.

My girlfriend shoots the 130 grain gmx in her .270 wsm . They were quite accurate with different powders. We settled on imr 4350 as they grouped they best . Have not shot any game with it yet but will be bear hunting this month so I'll let you know if she clobbers one!

i plan on using them in my 6.5x55 and my 7mm stw .

the way i understand it , the barnes bullets open up at lower velocities ( 3 or 4 hundred fps slower than the gmx ) .
the gmx is also guilding metal not pure copper so that would make it a bit harder and less likely to foul ( my stw apears to be hammer forged and not perfectly smooth and copper bullets foul easily .... the gmx might be a alternative to having to firelap the barrel so i can shoot copper bullets ) .
