Has anyone ever tried Hornady Hollow point BT in there percision rigs, and compare them to the SMKs

I was given a part box and tried them today 168s in 308.

I have to say for 12 dollars cheeper they shot about the same as SMKS, with a slight POI difference.

Really never spent anytime trying these, may have to try some more....

Cheers

Quality bullets are made by a number of manufacturers. All are accurate. Some may work better in some rifles than others.
I have shot 154/155 bullets by Sierra, Nosler, Berger, Lapua, Hornady. They are all great.

"...Hornady Hollow point BT..." Which one? Hornady makes 4 different 168 grain bullets. Should be pretty much the same though.
168 grain HPBT Match bullets give me one hole groups out of my 1903A4. .30-06 though.
I wouldn't get too excited about a part box. Last time I looked, 168 grain Match bullets ran over $300Cdn per 1,000.

Oh trust me I am not,,,I just thought I would try them,,

I buy SMKs in all cals and Bergers by the 1000s

I was just shocked to see they shot that good for a bit less Money.

"...thought I would try them..." My '03A4 shoots one hole groups with the Match bullets.
"...doesn't sound unreasonable..." It is when you first bought 'em for under $20 per 100. They run $41.95 per 100 now. Needless to say the "last time I looked" wasn't recently.

I've shot a large quantity of Sierra,Hornady and Nosler 168gr match bullets in a variety of .30-06,.308,and 7.62mm rifles and cannot report too much to chose from among them. Some rifles will shoot one or the other just a bit better.
