Hornady interbonds /any experience?

My super accurate 30-06, which usually is not fussy about bullets will not shoot the Interbond well at all. However my 700 Classic in 300 Savage shoots the Interbond into real tight groups. Go figure! Regards, Eagleye.

I shot some out of my Tikka 595 in 308 two years ago and as I recall the results were very promising. I dont remember exact results, but that rifle shot everything into little groups...made me look good! I remember loading some Amax bullets for my 308 target rifle and then running out of bullets, the Interbonds looked pretty much the same to me so I substituted them in and I did not notice any difference! (I know bad move--but I was younger then and I am still foolish, but I have made SOME headway!!).

I ama little disappointed to hear people say they are inaccurate.
My plan was 130 gr interbonds for deer and 160 gr partitions for anything bigger.

I haven't fired enough inerbonds yet to say much as I am all moose right now. Hope I am not disappointed.

I have noticed they are about 1 inch higher than equivalent loaded interlocks though. That did surprise me.

It's individual experience. I get great accuracy with the 165 IB in my .30-06.
I shot a whitetail 2 years ago and terminal performance was superb.

That being said, I prefer the old faithful Inlerlock... ;)

In my .416 I may end up forced to use IBs because I think Hornady may have phased out the IL in .416... hope I'm wrong and it's only temporary supply problem.

A friend of mine just got back from his moose trip. Got 2 moose.....they were using 30-06s and 180 interbonds. Hand loaded (don't know all the details) but one moose.....no bullet recovered...moose dropped where he stood.

2nd moose...dropped as well....bullet recovery in this one. 79.44% weight retention and a perfect mushroom. They were using the interbonds this year cause they were impressed with a few of our results last year. He is now a believer.
