Hornady Interlock or SST Interlock

I've used the 139 gr SST in my 7mm STW and nothing has ever got away from it.So far 5 whitetails and seven coyotes have been on the recieving end. Only 2 of the deer needed a second shot. They do perform as advertised.

I have shot 2 whitetail with the 129 interlock out of a .260 and have no complaints with the bullet. It and the SST shoot about the same out of my 260 but with different powders.

44Bore

SST are a more aerodynamic Interlock.

I have hunted with both and have taken all my game with these bullets. They work well as long as the impact velocity is under 3000fps. 2800fps to 1800fps seems to be their ideal working range.

Enjoy...

I've used interlocks in a variety of calibers, even the 300WM. As Jerry stated, as long as they are kept to standard velocities, they work well. You should have no problems at all in 6.5 x 55. I'll bet you will be more than pleased with the accuracy as well.

I shot one Buck with a 117g SST out of my .25-06. After the bullet hit the front shoulder it blew the crap out of the front end. Bullet recovered under hide with 69g remaining, range 175 yards.

The SST's are deer bullets and more than a few guys have had bullet failure on moose/elk shoulder blades.........................JMO.........Harold

Used the flat base 140Interlocks in my 260 and 165s in my 30-06 for deer - no runners of consequence and several DRTs - only one shot per each. Often a 2" or better exit in off side of chest.

My experience with SST's is as mentioned above: Dont' hit any big bones.....but why would you want to do that anyways ? Comparable to a nosler Ballistic tip. Unless you want to shoot long range I would stick with the regular interlocks for less money.

I use SST's standard in my 6.5x55 and 308 win. They are a very good blend of price, features and quality. I don't really like shooting one bullet at the range, and then another when it counts, due to price.

For the price it is hard to beat the Interlock,It shoots great in a number of rifles that I have shot.Works great as a hunting bullet.Has a low price tag.
I have used the sst 225 gr in my 338 wm with great accuracy,Not sure how they hold up on bone etc.
