Hornady's published numbers show the 325gr as having both more energy and flatter trajectory than the 250gr. Is there any advantage to the 250gr load besides reduce recoil? Can anyone comment on their experiences with either/both of these loads, especially in terms of performance on whitetail?

The monoflex is non-lead, will be a longer bullet then an equal weight lead bullet (so will react differently at the same twist rate)

If you don't need a non-lead round I would go with the FTX, should be a lot cheeper as well (atleast it is in my 30-30)

The monoflex in my 30-30 is known to exit the animal, but I have heard in larger calibers they tend to work better.

If you needed a Non-lead bullet, or have a hight twist rate, go with the monoflex. if not use the FTX.

Also I would recommend if your not needing the extra range of the FTX, just get a round or flat nose bullet. They unload energy quicker into the game. I would go this way 100% if shots are under 100 yrds. use a ballistic calculator and punch in your typical yardage. and make a decision
