For those that were looking for a LNL AP and were having a hard time finding one.

I saw one at P&D in Edmonton and it appears that Frontier has some. They are in the $550 range.

Then starts the journey of getting all the accessories you need and want.

What about shipping, duty etc?

I ordered mine from Cabelas US last April for $399.00. By the time I paid for everything I'm guessing it was about $500.

There was no duty as it was made in US, my order was lots of stuff (around 700U$, 50lbs plus) so not sure how much of of it was for press, total shipping was 74$(including insurance, they use USPS). I had to pay GST, PST.
The shipping was a bit more than if i would have bought it in Canada, but with current conversion rate, i am happy with what i payed.

6 units at Frontier Firearms :D

quick question guys, when you ordered your press, did it come with large or small priming system? I know the setup for priming is different from the Dillon presses, it actually looks a heck of a lot more simple.

I already have a dillon 650, but it's set up for 9mm, I also have a caliber quick change with an extra powder dispenser for it which works great, but it still takes more time than I like to change calibers, especially the priming system. since i shoot 9mm, 45acp, and now 40sw, I need something easy and quick.

thanks for the help!

p.s. - why oh why are some 45acp brass with small pistol primers?!!? drives me nuts

Good deal then. I bought when our currency sucked. Doesn't matter as Ive loaded about 7000 rounds according to the primers I've used so I'm happy.

Probably spend about the same in all the extras I've bought for it. Not bad still I'm set up to load 6 calibers for $1000.00 -$1200.00 clams.

It comes with both large and small primer system. Is very quick to change over once your setup. The LNL bushings push out quickly and even the primer system isn't to bad to change over. I do find that the LNL bushings work themselves out and need to be tightened once in a while. I just make point to do so when I'm filling the primer tube.

The small and large primer thing is PITA. I just get rid of the small primer ones because it has caused me grief!

That's a pretty expensive press!

I like it though. :D Sorry LEE, progressive just ain't your thing. :(

Does anyone run one of these setup for .308? .223?

sounds like this press is solid and easy to set up for other calibers and primer sizes. I'm going to get me one of these LNL''s !

I use my Lnl in progressive mode to load .223, but you have to deprime/size first so you can swage the crimps out of the brass, thus it becomes a 2 step operation.

I use it to do .308, but because I want more precise powder measure, first I use it to deprime/size, then do the powder in a loading block with a scale, and finally seat with the press..

Of course, if you do these things in bulk, (do all your deprime/size at once, do all the swaging at once) then it doesn't take too long, especially with the .223, where after they are swaged it's just an easy run through the prime/powder/bullet stages.

One very nice thing about the LnL is the ability to remove the brass at any point in the cycle very easily. Makes checking priming or charges very quick.

hey guys
I'm planning to head over to Seattle next week to buy the Hornady LNL AP with the case feeder from Cabela's location in Seattle, can i bring it to Canada or no? do i need an export permit? if yes is there any place in Canada who sells both same price as Cabela's loll I don't know but Hornady LNL AP/Case feeder is much cheaper then buying the 2 parts separate in Canada any comments about this? ohh i really want itttttttttt goddamn export permit

Stop by WSS in Burlington, I-5 exit 229. They had a few presses, dunno if they had kits with case feeder. There is another one in Lacey, where Cabelas is.
No paperwork required, just declare it and pay the man...
