Hi

I'm looking for the Hornady data for the 100gr SP Hornady bullet in 25.06 using H4831. 26" Barrel
COL too.
If you don't mind, please.

Also, any experience with H4350 vs H4831 on these mid-weight bullets?

I've not found H4895 to be a very good powder with heavier or lighter bullets in this calibre, so hesitate to even bother with it; have you had any luck with H4895 in a 25.06?

Yeah, I bought into the 'Extreme' powder madness cause of the extreme swings in temperature possible in my seasons of use for this gun.

Thanks

Ive loaded 56 grs H4831sc with the 100 gr Interlock for a buddy's Weatherby MkV Ultralight 25-06. Accurate, speed approx 3200 fps. 57 grs with the 100gr Barnes TSX for 3280 fps.

H4895 we loaded 38 grs for a reduced load of 2850 fps with 100gr bullet (Sierra Gameking). Good powder for reduced load, not so much for getting full performance. Too fast burning

OAL usually around 3.2"

From the Hornady 7th edition:
Powder--------2800---------2900---------3000--------3100

H 4831---------47.4gr--------50.1gr--------52.7gr------*55.4gr* max
C.O.L. listed at 3.120"

My personal best results in the 25-06 has been with the 117gr Sierra SBT and IMR 4350

Thanks very much for the info.

It really makes a difference to have several sources and in particular for the same bullet, to me. I had several load ranges for 100 gr, but nothing on that bullet or from Hornady and I feel better now knowing I've covered all the bases.

I enjoy these load data issues and when I see one that applies to a rifle I own, I start a document from the information being shared. I have not tried 100 grain loads, but some day I might. I was surprised when this column did not get past one page.
The load data accumulated for the 300 Win Mag is well into page four and I have shared it with a number of CGNer's.
My 25-06 loads are for 115 and 120 grain bullets as I looked at it as a deer and "dog" load. Just be cause the original request was for 100 grain loads, I would like to see it expanded, and in order to keep it going I will add my 115/120's in a few days.

The loads I have used are as follows
H - 4831 54.5 gr 100gr Hornady Spire Point
H - 4831 55gr 115gr Nosler Partition
AA 4350 52gr 100gr Hornady Spire Point
IMR 7828 57gr 100gr Hornady Spire Point
Reloader22 51gr 120gr Nosler Partition

All of these loads have shot well in my rifle Ruger bull barrel 25/06 most are
1" or less groups. As usuall please reduce your loads by 10% and work up.
