Hornady shell plates?

Guys new to te reloading and picked up a Hornady Ap, started assembling it and noticed it didn't come with any shell plates? Are they all compatable with one another or do I have to look for Hornady ones? If someone could guide me to a place here on the site so I can pick up a couple! Last question is it seem that you need a different shell plate for different calibers... 9mm and 40cal need there own and of course 223! "Right?"

Shell plates are different for every manufacturer, shell holders (single case vs mutlti) will interchange between different manufacturers.

You'll have to check hornady's site for proper info, but I believe they are different shell plates.

I believe Henry at budget shooter supply has what you seek... some plates will do multiple calibers but you will need 3 different ones for what you intend to reload. Search Google for hornady shell plate chart.

for 223 you need a #16...9mm is #8, 40s&w is #10

Budget Shooter Supply has plates, also WholeSale Sports and probably your local gun shop can bring them in...basspro and cabelas too
