Hornady Steel cased SST 7.62x39 ammo

I was wondering if anyone in Canada has found this ammo and is it any good?
I've seen it listed online (US), but not here. It seems pretty reasonably prices at $39/50
If it is available, but out of stock due to the chronic ammo shortage we have seen South of the 49th, then so be it.

SFRC has occasionally but it seems to sell out fast, as it is now but keep checking I'm sure they will get more.

Mine came from Budget Shooter Supply a while ago. Like above, I haven't gotten into it yet, so I'm no help with rating it.

I picked up a couple of flats a while back when I had a RA XCR-L in 7.62x39. I bought it mainly so that I did not have to worry about the clean up of corrosive. I also used it on a deer hunt a couple of years ago and if your shots were placed where they should be, it would result in DRT performance. I know that there are much better deer calibers, but the little Russian still will get the job done. I had no FTF or FTE in the RA but it did give me some FTE in a CSA, 11 3/4" carbine that I had at the time also. In my opinion, I think it is good stuff.

I bought a bunch of it at LeBarons when they had it. Works great in my brothers & my CZ858. Have not tried it on a game animal yet.

You have to watch for it, because it sells out fast when available. I bought a couple hundred rounds from Wolverine about 4 months ago.

Hi, I have used it in a Ruger Mini 30 and a Savage Scout, and works well. Good value for money, and accurate enough for my limited shooting abilities (open peep sights on both rifles).
