Holy smokes, checked gun broker and saw that Hornady Tap 556 75 grainers are selling for $50 a box. That's twice the retail price. I bet its a long time before we see any supply of that ammo north of the 50th. the awb got the scalpel from grimesteins bill, however the talk of taxing ammo hasn't settled down.

Funny.
After years of hearing nothing but fairy tales and horror stores about steel cases and laquer coatings I was lucky enough to buy a case of 55gr Hornady TAP FMJ and it has been some of the most accurate ammo I have ever found.
I don't know what the heavier 75gr is like, but if you ever see the 55gr TAP, buy it and never look back.

Ours is $23 a box but we can charge you more if you want.

He started another thread running strong about some sort of ammunition crisis and it is no longer getting the traction he wants it to as it is being dispelled;

His chicken little the sky is falling is what is fuelling the paranoia and fear-mongering, which is driving people to place $23 a box ammunition on Gun Broker for $50, and others to pay for it.

It is getting a little old.

and why not post the rest of the the listings on Gun Broker?

There is 1000 round lot of Tap with a starting bid of $995.

And your $50 a box has zero bids.

Obviously there is supply, and people have hoarded it and are trying to sucker others into paying outrageous prices on an auction site (where it can still be found under a $1 a round).

Do you have pallet of ammunition you bought in 2008 that you overpaid for and are trying to get people worked up enough to buy it at your asking price?

If not, why the sky is falling threads?

a bit late to the party but worth a reply anyhow. If you think post on gun nuts influence the folks on gun broker a 1/2 a world away, you haven't been out much. I made a post about what I saw ammo change hands for in the U.S. at the time. Not sure why that was so alarming.

As for the ammo shortage thread, you will notice, that things are tightening up in Canada, re certain types of ammo, as was predicted to happen due to the craziness in the U.S.
