Does anyone know what bullet their using for the .30 cal rifle stuff? The bullet plastic tip is red, so I'm thinking an SST, Interbond or A-max. (I think those are red, too) Or are they making a special bullet just for that load? I just read an interesting article about a Kimber rifle that sen't 3 shots into 1 hole (Literally) with the .308 110 grain load. I'm just wondering what bullet they use since it's a personal defence load, but I'm thinking that would make one Hell of a varmint load.

The .308 load in the tap line is in 110 grain is a v-max bullet. It is made with rapid fragmentation and prevention of overpenetration in mind. The heavier 155 grain is an a-max.

When they were first coming out Hornady did some ballistic gel demo's at the club during a trainng course also sponsored by Leupold. I though they had said V-max ish, type bullet. I'd have to try to dig up notes to be sure.
They're designed to open up easily and fast, bullet is supposed to stay inside bad guy not grandma behind him.
