Hornady vs Lyman Case Cartridge Gauge

I just purchased a cartridge gauge from Hornady and having multiple Lyman gauges I very quickly realized it was a mistake. Lyman gauges allow you to compare seating depth, as well tell you if your case needs trimming. Hornady does the seating depth but not the case length... Lyman gauges are a bit more expensive (about $5) but worth paying that in my mind...

I do not use either, I buy only the Wilson.
But my son did buy a Hornady for his 30-30 and found like you, it’s drawback...he was able to return it and get a credit...
