Horrible Trijicon SRO Experience, BlackBox Customs is the Best!

Speaking of sage dynamics he talks about irons in front of his RDS. But my question to you is- with the closed emitter would you feel that putting irons in front of RDS creates a claustrophobic feeling when presenting the pistol? I mean- does that mini Tv feel too close to the eye potentially? Or could you potentially see that as an issue- even though you don’t run your sights and optic like that?

I hope that made sense.

Also do you wish you had just milled the optic into the slide without the plate and fully committed to the 509T?

Thanks!

Here's some BBC "stuff" , ;)

Black box came through!

I updated the initial post, huge thanks to everyone who responded!

I just read all 5 pages, glad they came thru, have heard many good things about black box, great to hear they are still top notch

Not so much for Trijicon, I have heard the warranty work is years behind for us fellows up in Canada

Only a week turn around for US customs

Glad all is resolved OP thanks for updating

Man. I’m was really gearing up get a sro. Thinking this may be a bad deal. Black box sounds
Rock solid though. Think the deltapoint pro route may be safer. Losing a optic for any longer than a month after that kind of price is insane.
Would ruin an year of competition.

I’m too cheap to risk it. Not defending myself or my country with this stuff. The non military grade rds will be fine for me at a quarter of the price.
Trijicon and eotech and the like probably make great stuff, but too many horror stories when support is needed.
Leupold, hollosun and even vortex will hopefully be adequate…
I’m glad the Canadian retailer at least took care of you. I’m sure it wasn’t as easy as returning Amazon stuff though. As soon as it dies, it’s like a hot potato! Nobody wants to touch it last…

Thanks for the post, always appreciate when someone take time to warn others of company who have bad practice, no trijicon for me ever, and ill share the info to non cgn people. When a company decide to ignore customer that pay good money for theyre stuff, that say a lot about them.

Black box is good, in my experience.

But a known 30% failure rate on a product they sell is not good.

I've been wanting to check out an SRO, but I'm not sure I will...

Glad I saw this post, trijicon RMR was something I was considering, but will have to rethink that and research holosun a bit more for RDS options.
