Hot bluing salts

Well it is something you can drive across the border with ... in your vehicle. Homeland security do not restrict it... You can have Brownells ship it to someone in the US and you could drive down and get it... that's what I used to do. It isn't a cheap procedure.

I do not know of anyone stocking it in Canada... such a low volume business that would be...

There was a member with a WTS ad for a complete hot bluing setup. Don't know if it is still available.

Yes. It is the hazardous goods shipping restrictions that make ordering it difficult. If you could arrange to have it delivered to a US border point near you, you could pick it up and bring it back.

Yes that's what I'm hoping I can do But I wanna make sure it's allowed before I bring it across Does anyone know where I might be able to find this information

I used to have Brownells bluing salts sent to a friend in Washington and then I would go for a visit and legally transport them into Canada. Just declare them and the value at the border...

I buy from du-lite chemicals they are easy to deal with and the cost is lower , I gave up on Brownells when they said they couldn't ship to Canada As far as I'm concerned
Du-lite black oxide is every bit as good ! And They Ship To Your door no matter what country you live in
