I have two Butler Creek steel lips 25 round 10/22 magazines. One works perfectly, the other consistently fails to feed. The round gets stuck before being pushed up far enough to be stripped by the bolt from the magazine into the chamber.

Any idea how to fix this? I have only used these magazines on one range visit so maybe the problematic one still needs to be broken in.

I had to shim the backs of my mags to get them to work properly...now they are perfect and never fail to feed.

I found that the fit was quite sloppy, and the shim made the mag fit into the reciever with no slop.

I just used a thin piece of plastic from a ferrero rochet chocolate box LOL

i have had the same problem with two new ones bothe the same result. only half fill them and rapid fire a few times. then they will work fine if still having problems my friend told me to get a pencil and sand some of the graphite off, pour it in and push the mechanism up and down a few times then blow it out. dont use any wet lubricants as they will gum it up!!!!!!
