Well, I shot my first moose last week, a nice cow that dressed 543 lbs, and my good friend Dave Blevins shot his first moose as well, a nice 46"Bull that dressed 604lbs. I shot mine with my favourite BLR in .270 WSM, 140 grain fail safe at 75 yards right in the transmission, she dropped in her tracks, and never took another breath. Dave shot his bull with a Rem mountain rifle in .270 at just over 310 yards with a 150 grain nosler. We were hunting in area 5 near Ear Falls. Both were great animals and we left early to come home and leave the calves for next year. Here are a couple of pics...........
