What feature of the firing pin are you referring to? My understanding if the system is that OOB discharge protection is achieved by the camming action of opening/closing the bolt, which is the first thing the animation addresses. The firing pin has no chance of setting off a cartridge unless the bolt is fullly closed, same as a just about every other bolt action rifle.
