How accurate is the new RCBS Chargemaster Supreme

I was watching Gavin from ultimate reloader reviewing the new Chargemaster supreme and getting crazy accurate powder charges down to 0002 of a grain. So after both scales were warmed up for about an hour and calibrated! here are my results on this test, I did run this test 15 times and found the charges ranging from bang on at 43.00 grains to 43.04 on the FX120i. One kernel of VihtaVuori N555 is equal to 00.04gr on the fx120i, that's impressive results from a powder dispenser/scale if you ask me. Just thought I would share this with you all.

I am really confused about why they released this. Now we have the 1500, the Supreme, and the match master? I get that they are discontinuing the 1500 but it seems like this is a single tube match master if it does what they claim.

I don't know what the deal is with the other dispensers, looks like this is a major overhaul from the 1500!! they probably upgraded the scale and added the powder learn feature and a Bluetooth app along with a new layout, This is my first RCBS dispenser so I don't really know how they compare from one to the other but the numbers don't lie on the A&D balance, These results are crazy good for a $430 dispenser/scale I been checking every charge on my A&D FX120i and it throws very accurate charges everytime except for the odd overcharge but the dispenser indicates it's an overcharge. So I'm not sure if the MatchMaster is worth buying.

That's pretty impressive. I've had a Chargemaster since they were first introduced and while it has worked great for the most part it seems to be showing it's age. Looks like a real upgrade.

I found the Chargemaster supreme to be a much quieter faster dispenser then my old Frankford Arsenal intellidropper, I got this one because my Frankford committed suicide after 7 months of use, However they are shipping me a new one sometime in August.

Jim! It sure better be for $1375+taxes CDN, I think if your ready to drop that amount of cash you might as well buy the AutoTrickler V4 for a few hundred more. Once my Autotrickler V4 arrives I will hang onto the supreme as a back up.

I can get one for $1200.00 canadian +tax BUT i am getting a Auto Trickler instead ! RJ

I bought a digital scale for $35.00 off of Amazon. I use it in conjuction with my old Pacific balance beam scale. My 45 year old Pacific matches weights shown on my digital to a10th of a grain, so close enough for me. My 45 year old Pacific powder measure works great, dead accurate on ball powders.
Typically unless it is precision loads, I weigh every 10th powder load for verification, especially with easily metered ball type powders.
IMR stick type powders I weigh each one and use a powder trickler to get them exact.
Never saw the need for the more expensive dispenser/scale types. See too many issues overall.

You already have an FX-120i.
Are you planning to get the AutoTrickler V4 to go with it?
It’s a nice piece of kit especially since you’re more than half way there.

In my experience, no they will not. It is out of warranty. I phoned rcbs when I had problems with one and that is what I was told. I got lucky in that my problem was with power box, got one from a friend and its still running. Good luck

My Chargemaster has died. The scales work but it won't dispense.

It is about 15 years old. Will they replace it for me?

My CM dispenser cratered on me after about 7 years of use. The scale was and is still working just fine. The answer I got was 'No' at the time, but you could give it a try anyway. I bought a CM lite to replace it, then a few years ago fell off the deep end and bought an FX120/AutoTrickler V3. I haven't used the CM Lite for anything much other than gathering dust since.

So we are verifying the RCBS with a better scale/balance that can be had cheaper? Interesting.

Why YES! The discussion is about using a $1500+ A&D FX120 plus Autotrickler scale and dispenser to verify the new $600 or so RCBS Chargemaster Supreme. Not sure how that math is working for you, but it seems to me that $1500 is somewhat more than $600?
