Hi all, just wondering what kind of accuracy you are getting from your Henrys. My frontier does .75 @ 50 yards with cci mini-mags and 1.5 @ 50 yards with blazers.
Just curious what i can expect from my rifle...looking for some higher end ammo before i try it out @ 100 yards, any ammo suggestions.
I also tried federal white box 2-3 inches and american eagle 2-3 inches both at 50 yards.
This was with a make shift front rest as well and scoped with a cheap 3-9 bushnell. Personally i am really happy with the accuracy and the girl is butter smooth.
Thanks guys

I've never tried mine with a scope or rest. But from prone using my arms only and using the plain irons I've gotten pairs of shots within .5 to .75 very frequently while shooting at a 5 bull "two shots per target" at 20 yards in my club's indoor range. So your results are not a surprise to me at all.

My average seems to be about one pair within .5" to two within .75" when shooting this way. And, to be fair, about one in five to 7 targets has something closer to 1" separation when I get "flyers" related to shooting from unsupported and due to my old guy eyeballs and nerves.

Did I happen to mention that I LUV MY HENRY :D

I agree, i love my Henry as well! i actually prefer iron sights, just wanted to test out the rifles accuracy. Curious which ammo does your rifle prefer?
At the range i always end up shooting the Henry the most.

I've shot both Blazer and 525 Federal bulk through it and haven't really found that it shows any change from one to the other. But to tell the truth I've only tried serious bullseye shooting with the Blazer ammo. And that's the stuff that gave me the group pairs mentioned earlier. The rest of the time I'm often shooting at one of those flip up Caldwell rimfire targets set at 25 yards and shooting standing free style. It hits regularly enough to make me look good so I figure it must be OK... :D

Some day I'll have to actually bench rest it and try some different ammo. Might even stick a temporary scope on it like you did to eliminate one more thing.

Open sights, my H001 performed pretty bad... never tried a scope. here is the 50m group i posted with the ad when i sold it. it patterned.

For comparison i shot this the same day, with a marlin 60, open sights at 50m... damn flyers

Both groups were shot with CCI Standard Velocity, but the henry did this with all ammo i tried. I must have got a bad one.

I have been impressed with Henry accuracy, I bought my son a Henry Mini-bolt a few years ago, even with the oversized sights if I am careful the darn little things shoots lights out!! My wife uses it for squirrel patrol over all the other .22's in the safes!!!
