And, what is the difference between m305 and the Norc M14S? Same thing?

I'm completely torn between getting a Norc HP9 or a Norc m14 and I seem to be able to find more good reviews on the shotgun than the M14, but I really want that M14.

So, how do they hold up to thousands of rounds?

You can't compare a shotgun to a rifle.
The M-14 is a good gun, haven't tried the shotgun. Decide what you want and then ask again.:)

Dont just buy one ,buy two hehe ;)
nothin wrong wrong with them ,with a few tweaks here n there that ya can yourself youll have a nice reliable rifle even on a older one.Unless ya want to get wild with them like I have then ya can get really impressive results from the M-14 platform. But the basic rifle there's nothin the matter with them at all a good solid fun rifle that ya can fondle while watchin Full Metal Jacket.........
Cheers

If it is an American review don't listen to it 0 issues with my 305 can't say anything about the shotguns but the 870 express is dirt cheap so I got the real deal which is not the case with the m1A

0 issues with my M305. Very accurate out of the box with plenty of low cost tweeks to make it a bit more accurate and consistent.

I'm not trying to compare a rifle with a shotgun. I'm just saying I'm looking at buying a new gun and these two happen to be in the running. I also happen to see lots of positive reviews on the Norinco 870, but I can't seem to find much on the Norc M14; thus making me lean one way.

All the same, good to hear some positive reviews on the M305. I am really on the fence about the purchase....

Exellent receiver, the Polytech ones that just came in with the poly stock are excellent buys. Sights are better, but still could improve. Headspace is generally good, the only repeating problem seems around the flash hider, which is easily dealt with if you come across a problem. The only major issue with the M305 is the cost of feeding the Pig. For a few hunderd more you can get M14Doc to work his magic on one, like he did mine.

Don't buy ONE

Buy BOTH of them... I did and I love my Norc 2007 M14 also my HP9 shotty! Save your money, quit drinking and soon you will have more than enough for the both Norincos! :D

People can slag the QC of Norcs, but frankly, their price point get you into the game and then the learning curve so that you hobby can be fueled. Enjoy ! :ar15:

My HP9 Shotty!

And my Norc M14 with Douglas Hvy NM barrel....

Cheers,

How do you get the shorter barrel like that? I like that look more that the long barrel.

M14 Doctor. Mine is currently there and I'm waiting to get it back. Go look at his posts and he usually has specials or packages her does.

Mine is shortened, a bunch of other stuff and bedded into a USMC woody. I was starting to lack wood guns in the closet....

The .308 isn't cheap to feed though, it's true. I'm adding an RFB and have a R93 in .308. I need to start reloading.....

But you don't need any other cartridges after you man up and go .308!!!! :nest:

I have more than 8000 rounds through one of my M305s USGI rebuilds...it's on it's 2nd barrel and everything else is going strong.

Brobee

I've put thousands of round through my Norinco and Polytech m14's in the last ten years. The barrels are still original and giving good service.

This receiver and bolt combo (the one on the top in GI wood) has about 5000 rounds on it at this point, though It's now worn two different barrels and three different stock setups along the way. Not because anything worn out, but because I like to tinker - lol.

The receiver still gauges within spec, actually no measurable wear, and the bolt is USGI so, of course, it's fine.
