How bad is it to swap stocks frequently?

Have two stocks for my Rem 700, and they are quite different. One is a heavy McMillan that is really nice to shoot with bipod or sticks but a bit much to shoot standing, for me (maybe I need more gym time).

The other is a nice light HS Precision that the rifle came with.

I hear stocks loosen if you swap too often. In that case I should just stick with the Mc and take a different rifle out for situations where I want a light rifle.

Thoughts?

Depends on how the rifles are bedded in the stock.

A stock with an aluminum bedding block (or the like) should be ok to swap back and forth................but if you have a stock that just has bedding material (Devcon/Acuglass, etc...), the constant removal/installation may cause unnecessary wear on the bedding material...........personally I wouldn't swap stocks on/off...............your point of impact may change as well when you swap stocks........

Both the McMillan and the HS Precision are aluminum pillar bedded. I guess the McMillan can/should be glass bedded but I haven't done that.

There are some places where the stock is a pretty tight fit on the rifle, like around the bottom metal. That's the sort of place I'm worried repeated swaps will eventually loosen up and possibly harm accuracy.

I take the point about POI change, I'd have to rezero every time I swapped.

I just like the rifle a lot in both configurations!!
