How come the recoil spring doesn't slip off, on a Glock?

Just wondering about this: the recoil spring attaches to the barrel by just slipping on. When removing the slide from the frame, or even putting it back on, the recoil spring back slides off a little so it's not perfectly inserted.

What stops the recoil spring from completely coming off the barrel during fire, and is there any issue if the recoil spring back isn't perfectly inserted into the barrel slot when the slide is reinstalled?

Thanks!

It gets held by the frame as well once it is installed.

And, yes, you would have difficulty getting the slide on the frame if the RSA is not placed properly.

Have a look...
