How common are marliin 336"s in .35 rem with the straight grip butt stock?

T = Texan = straight stock. Much more rare. 35Rem are a 30 to 1 more rare than 30-30s in any year or configuration - just my rough guess which is no doubt wrong. However making such a sweeping generalisation I doubt anyone could say with precision.

I forget the numbers exactly, but around 5000 Marauders were made in 30-30 and 35Rem for only two years - of those 5000 only around 1200 were 35Rem. Can't find my Brophy reference to check my numbers right now. I'll edit them if/when I do.

You're right to be wary, but this rifle has been in a good (old ) friends possesion for many years. He still has the original box, paperwork and reciept. He aquired it off a member of our gun club (CHAS) who bought it new. It will undoubtably turn into a complicated trade of some sort lol
