Finally I have found a firearm relating to those of us north of the 49th paralel.
A bit of my background..
Born & raised on a farm in SE Sask so grew up around hunting and shooting, father was not a gun nut but had several guns for gopher shooting or "chicken stealing vermin" control. By the age of 12 I became a bonafide gun nut after getting an air rifle for a birthday gift and it just got better from there on.
Then C-68 came along and moving from home to travel/work in various places most of my guns were sold or traded. Since moving to Calgary I have gotten back into guns and shooting and want to make up for lost time.
Currently have a Savage 12 in .204, Savage 17HMR, and recently a Kimber 22 that I have yet to shoot. I am really looking forward to getting out for some gopher shooting.
Learned a lot so far just reading threads, great site!
