How did the Ontario Spring bear hunt turn out?

I didn’t get a chance to go out because of work, I did really want to give it a try though. From those I talked to it went well and a lot of good bears were taken. As far as I heard all court challenges lost and the spring hunt will happen again next year. Nuisance bear problems were down and they say it was the spring hunt that kept them in check.

My buddy and I took a week to go hunting and walleye, trout fishing. Had a great week and bagged 2 bruins and a bunch of fish. I think Northern Ontario had an exceptional year for berries so that will have a huge bearing on the number of nuisance bear calls received. Having said that I am ok with them saying the spring hunt helped - lol.

They need to expand the spring hunt to other areas.We have quite a few nuissance bears roaming around town at night right now.

I went up past North Bay. I saw 3 sows but no boars.
