How Did You Clean Your Norinco NS522?

The Norinco NS522 that I recently purchased is arriving this week. Since it's been in storage for well over a decade, I'm expecting some storage grease. Hopefully it's not as bad as the Mosin Nagant or some SKS(es).

I would appreciate any helpful tips/advice to properly clean this rifle when it arrives. I'm anxious to scope it and bring it to the range for a competition on Saturday.

With my tongue up one end and down the other.



Seriously, it was coated in a fair bit of oil when it arrived but no grease in mine. Just stripped her down and whipped her off and cleaned the bore. Little lube job and off I was shooting.
