How do I clean the new AR-15?

Hi, I just received my brand new Armalite AR, I can see some oil on some parts, how do I clean it? should I disassemble it to clean? or other method? what lubricant should I use? please help. thanks.

? really? I use the dishwasher to strip wood stocks for re-finishing....I never thought of putting the metal parts in....I would be scared to do so.

Does any one use Wipe-Out Foaming Bore Cleaner or a similar product on their AR?

dishwasher works great, break the gun down and load it. just run a cycle empty after you ran gun through with soap - BEFORE YOUR WIFE GETS HOME, rub down with light gun oil to displace any moisture.

I have used the Outer's foaming bore cleaner. I'm not too fond of it and it sure stings my hands when I get a little on my fingers. Must use gloves. I went back to using regular G96, and regular copper/lead/powder solvents.
