I was a resident of Ontario for my whole life, now I live in Quebec. I have an Ontario our doors card, Can I get the Quebec equivalent without retaking the courses? I plan on calling the agency on Tuesday, but I can only buy non resident licenses as of now with my Ontario outdoors card.

I’m in the same boat. Here’s what I was told when I emailed them. I don’t meet the residence time period just yet.

To obtain a hunter’s certificate in Québec, you must meet the following requirements:

- Be at least 12 years of age and a Québec resident. A resident is any person domiciled in Québec who has lived there at least 183 days during the year preceding the hunting activities or an application for a licence.

- Here is how to prove you are a Québec resident:

* Send us a copy of your driver’s licence from Québec OR fill out the attached “Affidavit” form (in French only) and have it certified by a commissioner for oaths.

You don.t need hunter coarse if buying non resident Lic

There are English courses given in Quebec. So that shouldn’t be a worry. It would suck to have to retake it, but if you do, at least it will be in English

There's a course held in Quyon relatively regularly at the Gavin's hotel. In English. But you can't skip the course unfortunately. Thankfully it's a one day thing since you have your PAL already. The unpleasant part is that your _card_ is not proof enough for the ministry that you had your course ever since POL people got upgraded to PALs so they ask for a copy of your course/exam transcript... You can request that from the CFC.

Ok update, I called the mffp . Ministere forets, parcs, er forest. They provided me with a form to fill out my address and personal information. I provided proof of residency in Quebec, a drivers license. I also copied my Ontario outdoors card and pal card.
I found my old hunters safety and Canadian firearms transcripts or exams from years ago with the instructors signatures.
I forwarded all that information to the email address they provided.
I called today to confirm that it was being processed. They issued me a Quebec hunting license number via email. So you take that number to the place you buy a hunting license and you pay for a renew card plus whatever licenses you want.
Then they send it in the mail to you.
So I didn’t have to take the course over again as stated above.
