how do i know if a HOLO scope is for AIRSOFT or REAL GUN on amazon?!

so i've been googling HOLO scope for my M4... and i found this

but i'm really not sure if its airsoft one or the real-gun one.......how can i identify which is which ???
 
For 60$, I'm guessing it's a knock off/airsoft version of a real EoTech (which go for hundreds of dollars)
 
No brand name is usually a good indicator ;)

Also, right in the description:
"Unbranded. Generally meant for Air Soft, but does not only work for Air Soft; Others as well. You can try it. People have witnessed."
Gotta love the engrish.
 
Bit of advice learned the hard way (by trying to cheap out on electronics): Don't bother. Your $60 is gone before the end of the first mag. The recoil will take out the internals.

Then there will be swearing. So much swearing.
 
My friend has one on his .22 It works fine. Anything above that caliber, I wouldn't recommend.

but i dont need a real EOTEC which has the real night vision mode......i guess i do need a knock off tho...
 
I've used both. Eotech is good, aimpoint is better in terms of quality. I like eotech over aimpoint because my #### eyesight cant see the tiny aimpoint dot very well in dusk, forget about during daylight.
 
Couple of things that can help you out

1) if the price is <$300, chances of a clone are high
2) if the sight is painted as opposed to anodized, its a clone
3) if it can turn green, its a clone
4) If the sight appears to washout during sunlight, its a clone
5) If you can see the sight from the barrel side, its a clone.
