i think that for the original PU mount youll have to drill/tap the side of the receiver for the PU mount base, and also trim some of the stock away to accomodate it.
youll also have to replace/bend the bolt.
i was considering a PU mount with a PU scope but altogether with the mount, scope, gunsmithing fees, etc it would be over $400.
i opted for a no-gunsmithing weaver mount like this:
for $9 off of e-bay, it replaces the rear sight and mounts with one cross-bolt and 3 set screws.
and i will mount an LER pistol scope with a small objective on it, like this:
and it shouldnt look too out of place. it might even work better because of the lower mounting and faster tracking of the scout-style mount as opposed to the PU.
