I've heard rumblings about effecting accuracy, but no valid proof of this.
I have one of these and am hesitant to use it since I was advised that possible gas tube damage could happen.

Now that I've taken the time to eyeball the situation a little more closely, I am wondering if the bipod should be clamped to the gas cylinder lock ring rather than the gas tube itself. Could someone address this issue specifically, please?
