How do I mount an M305 bipod from Marstar?

Hiya! In my latest shipment from Marstar I got one of these heavy-duty M14 bipods... Just to be clear...it will clamp on the gas tube, correct? Are there any foreseeable problems with this?

I can see that there might be accuracy problems, but I'll cross that bridge etc. Since I plan to use this mainly on the range, I'm not concerned about the weight...

If you have an E2 stock they are a perfect match .

They are a direct copy of the US Army bipod . I have one on my E2 & have no issues

This is funny.

The bipod is made in Canada by AIM sports and sells for $80.00.
The same bipod is exported to the USA and sells for 1/2 the price on amazon.

Now that I've taken the time to eyeball the situation a little more closely, I am wondering if the bipod should be clamped to the gas cylinder lock ring rather than the gas tube itself. Could someone address this issue specifically, please?

I thought that applied to all bipods as the front end isn't free floated. Upwards pressure changes POI.

...not to be a chit disturber, but don't bipods typically fold forward? Unless this particular one locks open? I'm asking because I honestly don't know, and I'll likely be getting one of these when my DA M14 comes in.
