How do I remove the rear sight on a Benelli MR1?

Tried to search but I suck. Don't have any risers to use so I need to take off the rear sight. There are two torx screws holding it on and I've broke two keys so far. Either I'm doing something wrong, or they are locktighted in or REALY tight. Help.

They ARE Loktited. Use a soldering gun on the screw heads to heat them up. Make sure to save the screws at all cost as they are impossible to replace it seems

Ok, thanks Rick. I'll give that a try and see what happens.

they are a ##### to remove. if you have a torx wrench from a scope mount like leupold, it fits perfectly.

And, I have seen some set up with extra high rings and the scope was almost touching. I figured just get rid of the rear and keep the scope at 1.5X then adjust if needed.

Nothing scares the manufacturers more than getting sued because parts came off. Lock-Tite is cheap insurance.

I think they use red, I use blue. Hold just as good, and its easier to get parts off if I change my mind about something down the road
