How do I repair scrapes on barrel and front sight 10 22

Can anyone suggest to me how to fix a few scrape / scuff marks my dumb ass made when changing out the front sight on my 10 22?

It's not too bad but there is some bare metal showing now.

Just get a cold bluing kit from any gun shop, clean with alcohol, dip a qtip in the cold blue gel, use a lighter to heat up the area a bit (heat gun works too), apply cold blue, let it sit for 1min, wipe off with a dry rag, wipe off WELL with a damp rag, lightly oil, you're done.

Cabela's carries those Birchwood Casey bluing/touch up pens. You can get the in matte black, gloss black, super black etc.

Just about any gun shop should have it. Check Lemorons or Fail if you don't have any CGN sponsors nearby.

One step before the cold blue, buff the area with 0000 steel wool to remove sharp edges and smooth out scrapes... then follow the above advice.
