So I have a takeoff hand guard. It wood be nice if it was shorter for use with a shorter barrel. I don't want to spend more on another one so I want to cut this one. What would you suggest?
I believe its made of aluminum. Talk to a local machine shop. cutting down the length and then buffing the edges is a ten minute job. I imagine it will be cheap if not free.
Hacksaw and clean it up nice with a file after... use a black sharpie. While that may not be for everyone, it looks pretty good. I've done it with other rails in the past.
