How do I take off a Speedfeed Stock on 870?

I know there are two screws but they are covered in rubber. It came on a new Remington 870 with 14" barrel. I have a pic but don't know how to post it.

Butt pad you need a med philips screw driver with a round shaft, put a bit of lube on the shaft and slide it right on in..... you can leave the screws in the pad if you back it out a bit, then switch to the other screw and back it out a bit, repeat this until the pad comes off without removing the screws from the pad.

Once the pad is off you will need a long and large flat head screw driver typically for the stock bolt.
 
Phillips, they make skinny shank bits use some soapy water and stab em. The main stock bolt is a slot after you get the butt pad off
 
OK thanks! I know how to do it I just didn't want to mangle the pad. But it's being replaced anyway.
