How do you carry/store your Precision Rifle?

I'm curious how my fellow CGN'ers store/travel with your Precision Rifle's?

I own a custom .308 and I'm looking at various ideas before choosing my equipment. So far I'mm looking at a OD pelican case, with a drag bag for going to the range. Pelican for storage.

Pics welcome :d

Big garbage bag for transport, maybe wrapped in some rags soaked in g96. Stored at home in a root cellar with no bolt and one of those 2-prong trigger locks you get for 5 for $1.

;)

Actually, stored in the safe at the house, Cadex drag bag or pelican hard case for transport. Depends how far I'm lugging it around.

Stored in a safe so I can control humidity. Transported in a drag bag/shooting matt 90% of the time and Pelican it came with the other 10.
The pelican is great but way heavy.

Safe/locker transported in a drag bag, Eberlestock, or a hard case if I have to pile crap on top of it or I'm going really far.
I'd avoid leaving it in the Pelican case due to potential for moisture being trapped in the case and it causing rust. I've had my crap collect rust after only a few hours in a Pelican case that got damp.

Safe at home, aluminum hard case from WSS for transport.

I can't see the point of a soft case- as others said- I want the scope protected.

Stored in a safe with silica gel packets on the floor. Transported either in a soft case or on the passenger floor boards depending on where I am going and what I am doing. Thinking about a Pelican or Storm case.

Mine lives in a stack-on cabinet. When I go to the local range, I just toss it in a soft drag bag/shooting mat, but when I go any distance with the guys, and there is a risk crap may get tossed on it, the bag gets tossed in a Pelican for transport. I love the softbag/shooting combination, and I can't forsee me getting away from it if I don't need to. I prefer a less airtight, gun cabinet for long term storage. Something like a pelican for long term storage would encourage rust if there is any humidity at all when it gets closed up.

For the drag bag take a look at these ones by Cadex
