How do you get the front sight off an SA 15.7?

Given the sleeve on the barrel...

How would you take the front sight/block off to replace it with a low profile one?

Is this a gunsmith or machine shop only job or are you stuck with the sight as is?

This would be in order to run a 13 inch URX forend....

The sleeve is held on by the flash hider and by putting the crush washer on back wards. Just unscrew it and it will come off.

I thought that was a press fit for some reason.
