Had a great day at the range today, think i've found near perfect loads for the two rifles I'm working on right now. 220 Swift and 50 BMG.

Question is how do you measure group size ?

I measured outside of hole to outside of farthest hole and subtracted bullet diameter. Is this how its done for matches?
If so I just shot the two best groups of my life !:dancingbanana:
Both at 100 M

Wrong ?

This IS the Precision forum isn't it ??
Precision as in how small a group your shooting ??
If it helps make it the right forum I did actually shoot the group with a 50 BMG , hedder says this is the forum for 50 stuff.

This question is fine for this forum.Anything related to shooting competiton is fine.Since benchrest is a type of competition its all good.Just ignore the wanker :).Leave the modding to the mods thank you.

easier than subtracting bullet diameter is to measure from outside of one farthest to the inside of the other farthest to get actual center to center measurement....

+1 ... works good, or you can just eye ball the center to center if it is just for fun and not for points.

Ice-pick...would you mind sharing that 50 BMG load with a fellow 50BMG shooter ? Load info is scarce for those big guys.

Sorry , got a little "wrong forum" happy there. I'll go back to my corner.
