How the heck do you do this? I looked at some videos that looked so easy but when I went to do it it just wouldnt come off. Is it because of rivetting to make it non prohib? I don't think so because this is happening on my standard 10 rd G17 mag.

I'm trying to install a coupler.

Well.. I removed it but broke the piece of plastic between the floor plate and the spring (follower?) by inserting a long hex wrench.. what a piece of trash

Luckily I don't really need that now that the coupler is on.

Just about lost an eye in the process. Wearing eye protection the next time I do this..

it was a real PITA when i did it to, luckily it never broke though. mine are the 10 rounder ones with no rivet.

the first thing I do with new Glock mags is take them apart and cut off the little tabs in the middle on each side. I've had mags I've had to use a vice to squeeze to get apart, and others that popped no problem. there is also a neat tool made to help squeeze them.

Yeah took me a while to get mine off, used a punch the size of the hole, had to give it a good wack to move it.

For the factory 10rd mags, which are the only ones I have ,Im thinking part of the problem are the ribs on the in side used to limit them to 10rds in that they block the magazine insert from easy movement........
