how early to be in bush

I used to setup a 1/2 hour before dawn and wait, wait, wait...
Now I get up at dawn, do morning buisness, have my coffee and roughly about hour later I am tromping about. Funny enough the deer seem to keep the same relaxed schedule and we always tend to meet.

You may have too many deer in Manitoba there Apu..

Bused meg,.. Ive thought about sleeping in for the early morning hunt but you know you have to be there early... its a ritual you must do.. to get youre deer... I think?

On the other hand, showing late may earn you a decent buck mid day?.. you never know unless you stay in the stand long enough.

Where I hunt, being early is being on time..I am set up in a bedding are, and as soon as the sun comes up the deer are moving in....8a.m is too late...

I used to get up 3 hours early,get in my stand an hour before the sun, do my routine and wait and wait and wait.

Now I do like some others have stated, go there when there deer are there, pretty simple!

edit -This afternoons hunt had arrivals at 2:15 and 4:00pm. Might as well get a bit extra sleep!!
