Just want to here from people that own one and see what they think the good, the bad and the ugly. I have done searches on the internet and there is very little info and on this site also. They are the same revolver as the EMF great western is about all that I have found out and even Marstar uses the exact same wording as the EMF site does explaining the piece. Years ago an EMF firearm meant extremely low quality if it even worked at all and hard to find parts for when it did break. Anyone have any comments on there revolver that they bought at Marstar or other source?

Pietta is also making Charles Daly's SA revolvers, and they've been getting very positive reviews in any of the gun mags I've read. I've haven't handled one myself yet, so I can't comment personally. But that 4-3/4" 45LC with the bird's head grip is mighty tempting. :D

The problem is that gun mags never post negative reviews of anything coming from their advertisers. Did those mags that you read contain big, glossy, two page ads of Charles Daly by any chance?

The Pietta SAA is one of the best deals on the market. Go to any of "them thar" cowboy shooting forums and do a search on the Great Western II and you'll find tons of positive responses. The only thing the USFA has over it, aside from the dubious "Made In America" status and the much higher price tag, is the gorgeous Doug Turnbull case hardening.
